April is International Autism Acceptance Month. For the third year in a row the Isle of Man Government is conducting a month-long campaign to promote autism acceptance, raise awareness and improve understanding as we look to build a more inclusive, supportive and friendly Island for everyone in our community.
This is one of the commitments the Isle of Man Government made to the Island's Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) community within the 10 year national ASC strategy. This year, the campaign will focus on training, employment, challenging stereotypes and reasonable adjustments.
At the end of April, the Department of Health and Social Care will be visiting Autism In Mann to provide the regular six-monthly update on the strategy and to answer any questions that people may have.
