Isle of Man Safeguarding Board Training

Training is open to anyone working or volunteering with children and adults and is free of charge.

Level 1 training is available to everyone as an e-learning course.

All courses at Level 2 and above are available as a classroom course. Please refer to the competency framework before applying to attend courses at Level 2 and above.

The Isle of Man Safeguarding Board provides children’s multi-agency training to the following:

  • Professionals working with children
  • Third Sector Organisations;
  • Nurseries and childminders;
  • Local Authorities;
  • Faith Organisations; and
  • Any other organisation that has a need for safeguarding training, subject to the agreement of the relevant training and development subgroup. Contact safeguardingboard.co@gov.im in the first instance to discuss further.

The current catelogue of courses is on the sidebar at the right. Courses are offered at a range of levels and include an e-learning package at level 1. The competency framework which we follow is available  at the sidebar on the right.

You need the written approval of your line manager before you can apply for a course.
